My Migraines

I've been suffering from migraine headaches for several years now.  I've been on many medications for it.  Topomax, imitrex, elavil, nortriptyline, and many others.  I am now headache free for the past three weeks without taking anything, we'll see how long this last.

What Cell Phone Carrier Should I Use?

So it's time for me to change cell phone carriers and I have no idea of who to go with.  I've been with Verizon for years and I find that they are on the expensive side.  I don't usually have any problems with them though especially while I'm traveling throughout the US.  Now that's not saying I don't get any dropped calls, but they are few and in between.  I've heard that Sprint and ATT have some reasonable plans out there, but I've been with Verizon for so long that I don't know if I have the guts to switch over.  Would if I'm miserable with someone else and wish I had stayed with Verizon?  Does ATT have a lot of dropped calls?  Sprint is losing their popularity with Metro PCS picking up speed and ATT having the new iPhone.  I could just stay with Verizon and keep it reeeallll simple.  Plus I love the fact that I can listen to music on my phone without having to use a different piece of technology.  I can just download songs and videos and call it a day.  Do the other carriers have that capability?  And not to mention I have a few family members and maybe one friend who have Verizon.  That's another reason why I've stayed with them.  But, why should I let that encourage me to spend more money when I can possibly get a cheaper plan?  Picking a carrier for me is like buying a new appliance, you have to take your time and shop around.  So what is the most popular inexpensive plan out there?  Stay tuned and I'll let you know what I find.

Should I Hit My Son Back?

When is it okay to hit your child?  When the child hits someone else?  Today my 14 year old got suspended for hitting someone who pushed him.  It is never okay to put your hands on someone else, but is there a such thing as a reaction?  The someone who pushed him was a girl so now he is not just someone who hit a kid, but someone who hit a girl.  How do you punish your kid?  What would make him not hit a girl again, or even react with thinking first?  I am going to go the round about way and punish him severely without hitting him.  That might teach him that when you get mad you go ahead take it out on someone else.  Now, don't get me wrong, I believe in an old fashioned beat down every now and then.  But I think I'll wait for that one.

Why Do My Kids Argue So Much?

I have a 14 year old son and an 11 year old daughter who argue constantly.  They look at each other like they hate each other and talk like they are each others worst enemy.  Why do they do that?  I'm an only child so I didn't go through the pangs of having a sibling.  Now that I'm older I wish I did have a sibling and think that they should appreciate and love each other because that is one of the greatest things in the world to have.  How do I get them to stop fussing at each other so much?  One thing I've tried is to have them say something positive to one another every day and to give a kiss on the cheek each time they fuss at one another.  It seems to be working slightly.
