Shrinking My Fibroids Naturally - Week One

I decided to start blogging about this because this has been a long process and I've only just begun. I was first diagnosed with uterine fibroids about 5 or so years ago. Of course, when they were first detected they were pretty small and didn't pose many, if any, problems for me. Over the past few years, they have grown considerably and I am now at a point where I am considering having surgery. My last doctors appointment (a week ago), I was told that I had to have an ultrasound for my gyn doc to complete my annual exam since he couldn't examine my uterus the traditional way due to my fibroids being in the way. This was the second year in a row where I had to schedule two different appointments just to have a regular pap-smear done since my fibroids are now measured at the size of a 16 to 17 week fetus. When my doctor told me that I was speechless. I said "you mean to tell me that I'm walking around looking like I'm over 4 months pregnant?" and all he could do was shake his head and say yes. I have been taking things off and on to try to prevent the growth of them, but that obviously wasn't working. I was taking Vitex and Garlic and even started trying bellydancing for the past few months. I know natural things are not a magic cure, but I wasn't expecting them to grow; maybe at least stand still. I came home that day devastated and heart-broken. That was the last thing I was expecting that day. (I realized that must be why my favorite outfits didn't fit like a glove anymore)

I started looking up even more information online than ever before. I thought that I must be missing something that's out there that would work for me without me having surgery. My heavy bleeding, clotting, anemia, pressure on my bladder, it was getting to be too much for me to handle. Especially during work, I can't function those first few days and I'm a nervous wreck thinking I'm going to soil myself. So, I Googled as many different phrases as possible and found so much information I was up until the middle of the night reading. I found a couple different methods that I was willing to try; systemic therapy and apple cider vinegar with unsulphured black strap molasses. I've read a few different things of what they are and what can actually shrink them. The main thing that I keep coming across is that when our bodies are enzyme difficient, certain tumors and diseases are allowed to grow within our bodies. Also, estrogen is a definite food system for fibroid growth. I've been on birth control for over 12 years and was quite sure that just stopping my birth control would not make them go away or stop growing. So I've started taking enzyme capsules (from my local health food store) and ACV (apple cider vinegar) with BSM (black strap molasses). It's been a week now and there are so many other benefits from taking these natural supplements that regardless of what happens with the fibroids, I can't go wrong. I'm noticing a huge change in my skin (very soft) and my mental clarity during the day. I'm ready to prepare my nightly ACV and BSM drink now, but I will report my progress to you shortly.
